Dummy Tiers

Some of the cakes I make, including the one below are made on styrofoam "dummies". Some people prefer dummies because they lower the overall price of the cake. Some people just don't care for cake much, but feel obligated by tradition, so the opt for the dummy tiers. I recommend practicing fondant on dummies before making your first cake. Fondant alone is hard enough to work with, and cake can be very tempramental.
